Hey guys!! Remember me?? My name's Katelyn Tarver. I'm 20 years old... I've lived in LA for a year now... I'm pursuing a career in the entertainment business.... I've become terrible at updating blogs.... ahhhh. I hope you guys remember me somehow! How's it going?? I want to hear how your year has been so far!!?
So, I'll try to start where I left off back in November... yikes. I had a great holiday season! Went back home to GA, hung out with my fam. Got a new flip video camera thing that I HAVE been using and will be gathering good videos to post. I've ALSO now done THREE episodes of Big Time Rush!! It's been soooo funnn. I can't even tell you. It's my first time doing a show and it's been a great learning experience. All of the guys are so sweet, the crew's amazing and makes me feel so at ease. Have you guys watched the show yet?? It just started airing this past week and will come on fridays at 8:30. I want to hear what you guys think of it! My first episode is FEBRUARY 5!!!! At 8:30 PM!!!!! Ahhhh. I don't want to watch it. I'm gonna hate myself. Hahah. Hopefully I didn't do too terribly. I guess we'll see!
Other than that, I'm very close to starting back up on my music. It's been a lot of behind the scenes, business-y stuff going on with it but I think I've FINALLY gotten to a place where I can start working again, and even actually start THINKING about getting to go on tour and perform! Yes I said tourrrr!!!! Ahh. I really hope at some point this year, I'll be able to go out and perform. I've missed it. So much. But- it's OK- it's been good. As I said a few blogs ago, this past year in LA has been awesome. But I'm even more thrilled about this upcoming one!!! I love all of you!!!

SOOO-- remember that pilot I did last October for Nickelodeon?? Remember? Wellll, it got picked up a few months ago , and I'm shooting an episode next week!!!!! WHOOOOO!!! I'm SO excited! As of right now, I'm only shooting one episode but hopefully it might turn into more! Yes? Maybe? Hopefully?? I got the script yesterday, and I went in for my wardrobe fitting today.... I'm so pumped. And so thankful! I'll keep you guys posted but just wanted to share that with you!
SO-- my birthday party was this past Saturday! We had a blastttt! I had a party with my good friend Beckee out here. The theme was dress as your childhood career ambition! Good righttt?? I went as a gymnast. Authentic leotard and gold medal included! Haha, it was so funny to see people's costumes. We had housewives, actresses, zookeepers, sea world workers, fairies, kids who didn't want to grow up! It was an awesome night.. I took a lot of pictures and videos so I will be posting them soooon.

Hello my friends!! It's been a while I must say.... I want to go ahead and start off by saying I'm sorry I haven't been updating as much lately. I've just been getting used to living in a new place, getting to know new friends, finding my place in this city.... just really trying to figure out what I'm doing and who I'm growing into... yeah, deep stuff I know... ;)
SO, I figured what better time to catch back up thannn.... ON MY BIRTHDAY!! I'm TWENTY!! If you can't believe it, I can't believe it ten times more. It's weird to think I turned sixteen, FOUR years ago!!? What?!?? It's truly hard to believe.. which makes me think.. wow-- in the short amount of time it took from 16 to 20.. it will take the same short amount of time for me to be 24! then 28! then 32! Ok.. I'll stop.. Basically, I'm saying my teenage years flew by. FLEW by. As I look back and think on them though.. they were amazing. I was thirteen the year that I really discovered my passion for music and performing. I was on a national TV show singing every week, and it was the greatest thing ever. Little did I know the ride it was going to take me on. And my family! Pursuing a career in entertainment has taken me on many different adventures. Recording my first CD while living in new york city with my brother and dad AND mom, traveling the country with my dad singing at little festivals and concerts here and there, going to Japan and The Philippines to sing over there, meeting people from all over the place that I wouldn't have met otherwise... but aside from music, I've gone through the normal teen stuff too. Falling in love, heartache, high school drama, insecurities..... and trying to find where I belong in this big/ small world. Which leads me to now.. to today. Sitting on a couch in LA thinking about how I've been here almost a year and I'm still trying to find where I belong.. still trying to figure out who I am...but loving every step of the way. Looking back over my teenage years, I realize how much the Lord has truly blessed me ,and I am so thankful. I'm so excited to see what He has in store for my life.. and as I enter my twenties.. I can't wait to keep wondering what my place is, who I am, what I'm going to do with my life, where my music will continue to take me... and then realizing I have no control over it and it's all out of my hands! Haha...I'm also extra thankful for you guys today too. Some of you have been leaving me comments since the first day I created this page and you haven't stopped. You haven't stopped encouraging and believing in me and I appreciate it more than you know. I love you guys SO MUCH! And I promise to start getting back on here starting TODAY! I hope you all are having an amazing Monday. ... and sorry if this blog made some of you gag... I do mean it with all of my heart! I love you guys!! And thanks for all the love you show me.
It's August 13th. I can't believe it. I feel like I was planning my summer yesterday ,and now it's almost over. Waaaaah! Craziness. I did have a good one though. How was yours?
My family came to visit my brother and me in July, and needless to say, it was a blast. I was so happy to see my freshly turned sixteen year old sister and newly brace faced little brother. All six Tarvers crammed in a two bedroom apartment for two weeks... awesome. It felt like I was home again after about a day. Mom was cleaning for us...cooking for us... washing our clothes... definitely took me a while to get back into the swing of things after she left. She's the best.
We decided to take a trip to the Grand Canyon while everyone was here. Yep.. that's 7 1/2 hours in a rented mini-van with 6 people. It was great! Even the ride there :) ...... we had never been to the Grand Canyon before ,and to be honest, I was pretty sure I'd love it.. for about 15 minutes. Then I thought I'd be over it. Not the case! It was breathtaking! And we went to a bunch of different points to look at it. Including a secret point that only locals know about. Yeah.. we're cool. But seriously, it was awesome. I put some pictures for you to see.... we had a great time.
The rest of the time was spent together just enjoying each other. My little brother has acquired an obsession with mini golf so we did that three times. I always started out strong but.. then would get two sixes and my game would be ruined. Oh well. We also went to Santa Barbara for a day and it was sooo beautiful. Any of you live in Santa Barbara? I love your town.
So it was really nice to have my family visit.. I cried when they left... like I always do. I'm so thankful for my family!
Lately I've been writing and recording more and it's been a lot of fun. Trying to get some cool new tunes!! I also go on a lot of auditions annnnd... yeah. It's a crazy biz ,but... I'm still here and despite everything.. loving it still :)
I got to go to the Jonas Brothers show out here in LA this past Saturday and that definitely gave me some inspiration and encouragement. Seeing someone's career explode like that first hand can't help but inspire. It was an amazing show, and I had a great time. If you haven't seen it, definitely try to check it out! It's worth it. My friends Honor Society did amazing as well!! Make sure to check out their album coming out September 15th! They're some of the nicest guys ever so.. give em some love :)
OK-- I had to get up at like 7:15 this morning after going to sleep at about 2:15 last night.. so I think it might be time for a quick nap! I love you guys and can't thank you enough for your continued support!!!

Hello Friends!! It's been a while! My fault completely... BUT-- YAY!! It's summer! Happy summer! This is a weird summer for me because I'm not at home... I'm out in LA with a lot of exciting things going on but it's still strange to think I won't be spending the summer in Georgia. I actually was just there for the past week so maybe that's why I'm feeling so nostalgic. It was my first trip home since I moved out here in January, and it was really great but odd at the same time. When you go home after moving out it's a strange feeling... it still feels and will always feel like home but you don't live there anymore. I mean, it's weird to be VISITING home... my clothes weren't in my drawers- they were in my suitcase..I didn't tell my mom to buy my favorite cereal at the grocery store because I knew I was leaving in a week..... I DID, however, gain a newfound love for my hometown that I never thought I would have. It's a great place to be and just escape. No traffic, no stress... just slow, easy living. Good to be around for a while. OK, I'll stop with the nostalgia. I loved home!!
I saw some of my friends that are home for their summer break from various colleges, found out all the dirt on people that I have no idea about because I live on the other side of the country, went to my high school to watch my little brother at Honor's Day and saw some of my favorite teachers... I can't believe I graduated a YEAR ago. But I mostly just spent time with my family who I miss so much! My little sister turned 16 on May 23 so she had a big bash to celebrate. It was everything a sweet 16 should be... minus the drama and newly bratty 16 year old. We went to go get her license on the following Tuesday and.... she passed! She's now driving by herself... so weird... and a little scary.. (just kidding Amanda, you're a great driver...... ha) . It was a great trip and, I can't wait to see my family again.
Now, onto the reason for the title of this blog. I'm featured on a song with Mitchel Musso on his new album out TODAY!!! It's called, you guessed it, "Us Against The World". I love the song and am so anxious to hear what you guys think. SO- go buy it, listen to it, and tell me what you think! I would be so thankful... :)

How are you guys?! I am currently sitting in my bed after getting up really early to take my friend Tiffany to the airport...yaaaay early morning airport runs.. always awesome. I'm also currently listening to a new song I just recorded last night, and it actually IS sounding pretty awesome. It sounds a lot different than other stuff I've done ,and I'm liking that. Maybe you guys will like, hear it, like soon. Yeah.
So back to my friend Tiffany.. I got to go to NYC with her last week for a few days and hang! She's all on this cool Disney show "Sonny With A Chance" so she was being important and doing press and stuff while I just CHILLED. We started our trip out by visiting the KTLA morning show out here at 6 am.. after that we headed to the airport and ended up not getting into NY until 11:30 pm east coast time. We got AMAZING first class ( I was trying so hard to keep my cool... they offered me an eye mask and WARM NUTS!? What! ) so we slept most of the flight.. combine that with still being on west coast time and we weren't tired at all. Evvvven though we had a 5:45 am wake up call.. yes that's 2:45 am LA time... so crazy. We didn't go to sleep until 2:30 am woke up at 5:30 am the next day... needless to say by the middle of the next day, I had to go back to the hotel and SLEEP! Later that night we got to go see Mary Poppins on Broadway. It was soooo gooood!! AHH. Loved it. But even better was the next day we got to go back to the theater and walk on the stage and see all the sets and touch everything and see how it all works. It was beyond cool. I was so excited. Until I fell asleep leaning on Mary Poppins couch in her bedroom while watching Tiff tape a segment for Disney 365. Literally fell asleep sitting up.. and didn't realize it until I woke up with my mouth open looking around to see if anyone was looking at me. Fortunately, everyone was doing more important things.
We left Friday night for Illinois where Tiff did a meet and greet the next day. It was at a college in Illinois and they had a circus performing at the arena where we were. But the cool part was the circus was made up of students that go to the college.. like you can join the CIRCUS CLUB! That is so awesome to me... I would TOTALLY join. I must do the trapeze before I die. They were really entertaining and, like I said, made me want to join the circus. SO here comes the real meaning of this blog.. I'm giving up music to join the circus... I know, it seems sudden and not well thought out but....... I know you guys support me in whatever I do.......................................... HAH.

It's been over a month since I've last written a blog!!! Ahh. I'm so sorry. BUT-- here is one to catch you up on what I've been up to SINCE my last blog.

SO-- last week I went to Colorado with my family for a week of vacation on the slopes. It was SO fun! I'm all about the perfect scenic vacation. Ya know like going to Colorado to ski, sitting by the fire, drinking cocoa, wearing cute hats, throwing snowballs... so it pretty much turned out exactly like I imagined! Except for the fact that after a few hours of skiing I was ready to sleep for hours... until like, the last day. Hah. Well the first day and a half I snowboarded... but I fell really hard over and over again... the last fall just did me in and I was DONE! And I switched to skis. Still kind of difficult but not as many falls. Mission accomplished. My little brother Jake was the only one who stuck to snowboarding the whole time( with the exception of trying skis for an hour). His technique: go really fast then fall on your back and stop... or face the board horizontal and squat down the whole way down. Try to visualize that... pretty hilarious. It was so good to be able to see my family though... I miss them all the time. I took a lot of video. So be expecting a Tarver family vacation video verrry soon. Captured some pretty great moments.
Last night I went to the Honor Society show at the House of Blues in Los Angeles and it was so fun!! If you guys don't know who they are you can check them out at myspace.com/honorsociety. They're awesome performers and awesome people. SO, check them out! And definitely check them out on tour this summer with the Jo Bros! Yeaaaaahhh.
Also yesterday I did a an interview with the girls from suddenlydarling.com. It was so great! They were so nice and their website is so cute! Be sure to check it out too. My interview should be up shortly.. I'll be sure to let you know. As far as new music news-- I'm getting ready to get back in the studio and come up with some really cool songs. I'm beyond anxious to get out there and perform and get everything going.. but.. it will happen soon. I KNOW it. And I thank all of YOU for sticking with me throughout everything and supporting me. Hey friends!! Hope everyone is having a great week so far!!
SO-- last night I got to go to the premiere of the Jonas Brothers new 3D movie. It was so. much. FUN! I took some video so I'll try to get that posted very soon. But until then I'll just try to recount the night for you guys! My friend and I arrived at the premiere around 5:15 and it was absolutely crazy!! So many people were there! It was great. I walked up to the tent where they have your tickets and I told them my name and they were like "ummm.. we dont' see a tarver". Great. Jussst great. BUT- after a few frantic calls and a disappointed feeling, they found it and I was good to go! Haha.. I WOULD be the one who got ready and excited to go then them not be able to find my ticket hah! So after that I walked the carpet for a bit and actually got my picture taken!! Crazy!! Hahah... I also saw my one of my LA street team girls and her friends!! It was so awesome that they were there.. I was so happy to see them! Also to see everyone else there that asked me for a picture or autograph.. it really means a lot so THANK YOU! After about an hour on the carpet, it was time to go watch the movie. It was fantastic! Seriously, you all need to go see it. It was so fun to watch. And for me to have performed with them for 200 people and then to see them performing for thousands and thousands of people.. it still amazes me every time! They're so talented and definitely deserve all of their success. After the premiere my friend and I went to the House of Blues where I finally got to see the boys and congratulate them on the movie!! We had a blast and all in all it was a wonderful night!

I've had such a busy past few days! Me and my bro moved in to a new apartment. You know, thinking about moving in to a new apartment was really exciting at first. I get to decorate my new bedroom, decorate the living room, paint the walls.....then I realized-- We. Have. NOTHING. No plates, silverware, table, couch, bed, mattress, pillows.. AHHH. We've been going all over town trying to find good deals ,and it's been exhausting! Hah. Right now I'm sitting on an air mattress in the living room on the computer while my dad is laying on the wood floor right in front of the TV ( yeah, we found one!!) with his head on a pillow. My room is a COMPLETE disaster due to my lack of a dresser.. although I did find a bed and mattress! So at least I have a place to sleep...
But you know what? I just need to shut up. I'm so blessed to even HAVE the opportunity to come out here and live and go after my dreams. To even HAVE an apartment.. who cares if it's empty! To have YOU GUYS!!! I totally realize I couldn't do this without you so I hope you guys know how thankful I am for you! I have nothing to complain about.. but I will say that moving in to a new place was a little more stressful than I imagined. Still so fun though. I'm having a blast out here and planning some exciting things! YAAAAY!

Ok. You guys are AWESOME!!!! I looked on my myspace tonight and I have over 2000 plays!! I've never seen my player with that many plays on it!!! AHHH... you guys don't know how excited that makes me. For real... and I have like a whole page of comments from today. Thanks to YOU!!! I LOVE reading all of your comments and messages.. they really encourage me. To see them increase is just.. the best thing ever. So great that I just had to blog about it and thank you guys so much! From the bottom of my heart. Sooo.... It's almost 2 AM here in LA and I'm still up. I mean, I usually stay up really late but I guess when you HAVE to stay up..... you really want to go to sleep! Like RIGHT NOW... why am I still up you ask?? Wellll... my car is being shipped out here to LA and I have to meet the guy who is bringing it in about 30 minutes. Soo.. I decided to let you guys know. Everybody is asleep on the east coast so I can't really call anybody to chat. Most people are asleep on the west coast too so here I am.. trying to do things to keep me awake. I've cleaned my kitchen, cleaned my room, got the coffee maker ready to go so I just have to push ON in the morning when I wake up, brushed my teeth, washed my face, I was going to read but at this hour reading a book would put me to sleep in a second--SO, I decided to say hello to you! And fill you in on how my first week in LA has been... I arrived last Wednesday after a tearful goodbye to my family. We're all really close so it was sad to leave... definitely more sad than I thought. BUT-- they'll come visit... and I'm living with my older bro so that helps. My dad flew out for a few days to help me get settled in... we sat in traffic for hours when we got here. That's the probably the WORST thing about living out here. The traffic is AWFUL. Especially when you have road rage like me....and a problem with being on time...... anyway, we finally made it to my new apartment and it's so cool! I can't believe I'm out here (sort of) on my own. Kinda craaazzzy. We brought all our stuff inside and unpacked. It's so great to get a brand new clean room. I don't know about you guys but my room at home is just a mess... like, I clean it but somehow over a few days it's back to how it was before I cleaned it. So. Annoying. It's just full of stuff that I don't really use but don't really want to throw away either so... I like not having a bunch of clutter. I'm sure it won't last long though.. haha. Even though I'm going to try and be more organized. I'm doing pretty good so far. Friday we went to the grocery store and got a bunch of groceries (duh?) and necessary household items. Luckily, our apartment is furnished right now so we don't have to buy ALL new stuff but... there's still a lot of stuff you have to get that you don't even think about not having. Like... toilet paper. Don't you just always assume you have toilet paper?? I do. But, turns out you don't. Someone has to buy it. Ha. So we got that done and went out to eat with some friends. A good day. Saturday was my dad's last full day so we just hung out with him. Either it's late and I can't remember or we didn't do much that day. Ha. Except for rehearse for my show coming up in CO with Mitchel Musso. That's Mitchel with one L!! Haha. Sorry for misspelling it all these times. I think Saturday was our 3rd day in rehearsals so, it's been fun! I'm excited for the show...but not for the freezing weather that's going to greet us when we get there. AHHHH! The weather in LA has been beautiful!! .......my dad left on Sunday. I was sad to see him go but glad he had been here to help me get settled in. He's the best. So the past few days have been great! Still getting used to being out here.. I've been cooking which is kind of exciting. I made chili last night and it actually wasn't THAT bad! ...this is so bad though. I had to ichat my mom so she could show me how to use a can opener. How SAD is that?? Hahaha. Oh goodness. I figured it out though! hahah. I'm SO looking forward to 'The In Crowd" video premiere on Disney!! I actually saw it already and it's awesome!! It premieres on the 19 on Disney channel so BE THERE!!!!! I'm so excited for you guys to see it. I'm gonna post a new behind the scenes video soon on my myspace so be looking for that. YAY. Well now that I've successfully written a NOVEL, it's almost time for my car to be here! YAYAYAYAYYA. I'm so happy. Thanks for reading my endless rambling. Hello my friends! How was your holiday?! How was your New Year's Eve celebration?! I hope it was the best you've ever had.
I'm just sitting here at my house getting ready to move out on WEDNESDAY! I'm moving to California! moving to CALIFORNIA! So crazy.. I'm really excitedddd. A little nervous but... mostly excited. I'm gonna be rehearsing like crazy right when I get out there for this new project I'm working on. I'm opening for Mitchell Musso on the 18th of January in Steamboat Springs, CO!! YAY. I'm going to be opening with my friend Malese Jow so it should be fun! I'm also singing a song with Mitchell!! So, if you happen to be skiing in Steamboat on January 18, please stop by! Hah... it's gonna beeee funnnnn.
I also was asked to be in Mitchel's new music video for his song "The In Crowd". It was so cool!! I can't wait for you guys to see it! I'm not sure when it premieres but.. I took a lot of video so expect to see my version soon. The real video should be premiering sometime this month. It was a really cool experience... I won't give too much away but.. let's just say I wasn't a part of "The In Crowd" ....ha ha haaaaa.
Well, I'm trying to think of more things to say but... I'm not really coming up with anything hah. I'm so excited for this year though. I always love a new year. For some reason it makes me feel really refreshed. I just love the "fresh start" feeling you get when a new year rolls around. My friends always make fun of me , but I like to recap my year at the beginning of every new year and see how much my life has changed in that short amount of time. If you've never done it you should because it is crazy how much can change in a year. It gives me hope. It really encourages me not to give up on this crazy dream of mine ;) .. I hope it encourages you too. You might not want to make it in the entertainment business , but everybody has their thing. Everybody has SOMETHING they want to happen in 2009. So here's to me AND you and making it happen in 2009!!

HEY GUYS!!! How was your Christmas??!!? How are your holidays going??!?
My Christmas was so great. I loved being able to spend it with my family. I loved just being home eating waaay to much. Haha.. I literally should be 500 pounds. ANYWAY, I got a GPS for my car! yaaay! I was so excited. I'm planning on moving out to LA in January so that will come in handy! My little brother got a refurbished go-cart. We've had it for so long.. my aunt had it, my dad, my older brother, cousins.. so now it's his turn I guess! It goes so fast! He was very happy. My older brother got a new computer! One that was very much needed if I do say so myself.. and my little sister got a CAR!!!! It was awesome!!!! She was so shocked... I got it on video so I'll try to post it. It was THE BEST. I can't believe she's almost old enough to drive her own car.... So weird. But very exciting. Christmas night was spent at my grandmothers with the extended family. I had sooo much dressing. It was amaaazing. My mom makes the greatest dressing. We exchanged presents, drank coffee, played with new gifts, laughed..... are you feeling all warm and fuzzy yet??? Good. Am I losing my mind or is it really December 15?? NOO!! I had so many plans to be on top of things this Christmas yet here I am, ten days away, and I have gifts for two people. I guess a true procrastinator like me just CAN'T get things together ahead of time. Or maybe I'm just lazy...? Probably! I'm sure my dad would agree. ANYWAY, how are YOU guys doing?! Enjoying the holidays?? Procrastinating like me? YAY! Haha... I've been great. Actually have to fly to LA tomorrow for some meetings and such SO.. I'm excited because I love LA, and I'm excited about what I'm doing out there BUT....my whole family will be home being together and I'll be sad and lonely across the country.. I know , I know poor me, I'm going to be in LA, get over it! OK fine! You're right. It will be fun ,and I'll be back on the 22 soooo, it will be good. Thanks you guys! Hey guys!! YAY! It's the holidays!! I can't believe it really.. time is just flying by! haha. How was everyone's thanksgiving?? Mine was awesome. BUT-- instead of turkey and dressing and such we had.. seafood. Crab legs, shrimp, crab casserole, crab pie, crab sandwiches....ok not really but A LOT of crab. Don't get me wrong, I like seafood but... I'm just so excited to eat turkey and dressing and sweet potatoes and turkey and DRESSING and DRESSING!! Haha... so I think we're going to do that on Sunday. Yes!

Well.. I'm back out here in Cali for the week! I flew out here on Saturday night and I'm leaving on Monday morning. YAY! Thanksgiving is next week!!! :) I'm so excited. Anyway, Cali has been busy so far! And fun! Guess what I got to do last night? Go to the premiere of "Bolt"! The new John Travolta and Miley Cyrus movie! It was so cool! I went with some friends, and we had a blast. The movie was really cute. After the premiere, we went to dinner and bowling!! It was a really great night. I love animated movies. Haha....

Hey guys!! Oh my goodness my shows this past weekend were soooo fun!! It was me, Phil Bensen, and Push Play. They were both so great!!
We started in Stuart, FL on Friday night. It was a private event for a middle school down there to raise money for a charity. The kids were really excited and we had a great time! It was my first time performing with my new band so I was a little nervous but...... it went great!! My sister was on backgrounds and she did fantastic also. We were off to Tampa the next night for the show at The Orpheum. It was such a cool part of town and such a cool venue.. I mean, my dressing room was a bathroom but.. atleast it was a women's room this time!! Haha.. the Tampa show was amazzing. The crowd was so excited and energetic.. ahh it was so fun. We didn't even have sound problems!! haha.. My Aunt Laura came to the show with her daughters and my grandmother was even able to come! I was so happy to have them there.
Sunday was the Orlando show at Backbooth. It was another really great crowd!! I had so much fun. Like I said earlier, my sister was on stage singing backup and I loved it. She did so great!! And I loved having her up on stage with me. We had a little sound difficulty in the beginning, but it was fixed towards the end of my set. I saw a lot of people that I hadn't seen in a while , and I also met a lot of new people which was awesome!
All in all my weekend was FANTASTIC! I really hope to have some more shows up sooooooooon! And if you came to my shows this weekend-- THANK YOU! You made it so great. Guys! Hello!! How is everyone?? Today is election day!!!! I can't believe it! I went and voted already. I felt very... powerful! Haha... if you are eligible: GO VOTE!
So last Friday was when I filmed the scenes for the show. It was SO FUN!!! I was a little nervous because I had never done a TV show like that before... but everyone made me feel so comfortable! The director was super nice, the cast was super nice, the set was amazing... it was so great! I don't really have a big part in the pilot, BUT--hopefully it will get picked up and they can develop my character more. Cross your fingers!! It would be so much fun!!! Ahh.... I'll be sure to let you guys know as it develops. :)
Friday night was Halloween!! I finally came up with a costume and decided to be an 80's girl. I went to a thrift store and got this amazingly, hideous jacket hahah. It was greatttt. I hung out with Lucy and we went to a Halloween parade thing on Santa Monica Blvd. in Hollywood. It was fun! Some very interesting costumes......... hahah. I have pictures and videos that will be coming SOON!
On Sunday I turned 19!!!! So old!!! Haha... not really but... I am a little sad. It's my last year as a teenager :( ...I really liked being 18. It was a good age.. Oh well. I guess I can't control it! Haha. THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH FOR THE HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES!! It made me so happy when I read them. You guys are so sweet. Sunday was also my last day in California for a little while so I wanted to celebrate my birthday on Saturday. So Saturday night I went to dinner with brother and some friends.. some of the guys from my show got to come so that was fun! Then after dinner we went karaoke and it was A BLAST!!! The place we went to gives you a room to yourself and you can just sing as long and as loud as you want to. It was so so so fun!! I had a great birthday a day early! :) Pics from that soon also!!!
So now I'm home... and RELAXING! I hate to admit this but I slept until 12 today! It was fantastic. It's good to be home for a little while, and I'm so excited about MY SHOWS THIS WEEKEND!!!!! YAYAY!!

Helloooo! How ARE you guys?? Hope you all are having a nice weekend! Or what's left of it! I've had a great past few days! I worked with a guy named Wayne Rodrigues who did "Unwritten" for Natasha Bedingfield. It was so fun! We came up with some cool new stuff! ... I also went to visit my good friend Lucy on the set of her show "Privileged" .. It's so cool to see sets of shows. It just looks so different than it does on TV. It was fun! But I got a coughing attack at one point while they were shooting.... not good. I was just sitting there and you have to be really quiet while they're shooting (obviously) and I got this tickle in my throat. I tried to stifle it but that just makes it worse you know? So I had to quietly try to walk away and make my cough quiet until they cut...oh goodness. It was awful! Haha... so if you're watching Privileged and you hear a faint cough.. it was me!! Haha... Tuesdays at 9 on the CW .. by the way :) ... So today I got to go to an LA Galaxy game with my friend Joe Brooks! Check out his music at www.myspace.com/joebrooksmusic ... It was cool! I was so close to David Beckham... Incredible. Haha... But it was weird because they tied? I thought you always had to have a winner .. guess not. Anyway, just wanted to say hello. I have some SUPER, EXCITING news to tell you guys..... I GOT BOOKED ON A NEW PILOT FOR NICKELODEON!!! I'm SO excited!!! It's in the beginning stages right now and it hasn't been picked up yet BUT.. I can't believe I got the part! I play a girl FROM GEORGIA who is a lead singer of a band. HAH! I was so nervous about it... I auditioned once a few weeks ago then went back this past Monday then found I got the part on Wednesday!!! Ahh! I'm just so pumped. And nervous! I've never really acted before! It should be an exciting adventure! YAY! :)
Also-- I was just surfing the internet the other day and came across the trailer for Bride Wars... the new movie with Kate Hudson and Anne Hathway. I decided to watch it and I heard a familiar sound.. It's one of my songs playing in the background during the first like, 15 seconds!! I had no idea! Haha.. it's a song called "It's Over" that I recorded about a year ago. Anyway, it was very surprising to me to hear it. You can't hear my voice but.. hey, it's my song! Just thought I'd share that with you guys :)
I'm still having a blast out here in LA. I love it! I'm working with a producer next week that produced "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield so that's really cool! I have a table read on MONDAY for the show...Ahh! That's where the whole cast gets together to read the script before we start shooting. SO- I'm so excited!

Hello my friends!! How is everyone?? I hope you all have had a great weekend. If you don't already know.. I'm in California for the next few weeks! I've been here for a total of 3 days now and.. I love it! I've just been getting settled these past few days. I had to go by a little table fan to put beside me at night because I have this weird thing where I can't sleep well unless I have a fan making noise. I don't know... I just hate complete silence at night! Ha. Then I had to go buy my favorite foods like Frosted Flakes and Cocoa Puffs and chocolate chip cookies even though my brother told me I should start eating healthier..and I probably should but... I just like my junk food! Maybe I'll try to start eating healthier next week..... Haha. Other than that, I haven't really been doing anything. I do love it out here though!

I'm just hanging out at my house and thought I would say hello! I went to the lake this past weekend with some friends--it was so fun! I wake boarded this time which is always scary for me ha..I'm getting a LITTLE better.. actually got a little bit of air this time which was cool! I fell pretty hard but..it was a good picture! I know it probably seems like all I do is go to the coast or lake with my friends because that's all I talk about but... that's not the only thing I do! Haha. I just got a new booking agent which I'm really excited about! We're working on touring for the next few months so.. get ready!!! Also working on a bunch of other new stuff....YAY. Hey guys!!! How is everyone?? Sorry I haven't updated in a while .. I've been at my coast house hanging out for a few days trying to soak up the last few weeks of summer. How have you guys been?? Anyone in school yet?? My younger sister and brother are getting ready to go back to school on Friday. I can't believe it! I feel like the summer has gone by so fast! Oh I'm just so happy I don't have to go back to high school.....YAAAAAY!
So like I said before--my family and friends were all hanging out at my coast house this past weekend. We had some intense tubing. We do this thing called "tube wars" where we put two tubes behind the boat and each tube tries to kick the people on the other tube off. I think we ended up with 2 bloody noses and a hurt ankle! Hah..one of the bloody noses being mine. It still hurts kind of........haha. So we had a good time!

Hey guys! Hope you all are having a great week so far!
I had so much fun in the studio. We ended up getting four new songs done! I'm really excited about them. I can't wait to let you hear them! They're definitely a lot different than anything I've done....I really just can't wait to get out and perform them!
So I finished up in the studio on Saturday and headed to Atlanta to meet up with my family for a little mini vacation. We went to a Braves game on Sunday..it was cool! I had never been to one before so..now I have hha. It was fun but SO HOT! Then on Monday we went to Stone Mountain-- which is the largest granite mountain in the world! Haha...we did a ropes course and then, per the request of my little brother, hiked up to the top of the mountain! It's only a little over a mile but when it's five hundred degrees and uphill--it gets tough haha. We finally made it to the top and I did feel a small sense of accomplishment. On Tuesday we went to a kangaroo farm! Now this really was cool. It's this huge ranch type place with kangaroos everywhere. I had never seen a real kangaroo before so--it was awesome! I even got to touch one..pretty coooool. I took pictures that I'll try to post very soon...all in all it was a fun little vacation.

So the show at Backbooth was fun! It was awesome seeing some of you there! Minus the sound problems we had, it was great! Haha...there ALWAYS seems to be sound issues. Maybe one day I'll have a show completely perfect! It was a lot of fun nonetheless.
I'm currently in the studio working on some new songs!! YAAY. We have some really cool ones done so far. I'm getting to write a lot more which is something I'm super happy about. I've never really been confident in my writing but I'm starting to feel a little better about it. I can't wait to let you guys hear them!
SO I made a pretty big decision today... I've decided to skip college for now and go COMPLETELY for my career. On one hand I'm really excited and on the other hand....I'm wondering if this is a huge mistake. I just don't feel like college is where I should be right now. I've never been able to focus solely on music without any other distraction so I figured why not now?? If I didn't have music, I'd be looking forward to going to school but....when I think about going to college I almost cry haha. Anyway, keep me in your prayers! I'm a little nervous.

Hey everybody!!! How are you guys??? How was your 4th of July? Mine ended up being so fun! We went to my house on the river..went tubing, rode jet skis, grilled out. I even decorated! I don't know why I got so into it but..it was awesome. I had streamers and balloons and confetti...I made brownies and put a flag toothpick in each one of them--ha! It was so much fun. My family and friends were there....we had a fantastic time.
All my shows in FL last weekend went so well! I performed at this place called Wannado City. It was THE coolest thing I've ever seen! It was like this mini city for kids where they could be anything they wanted to be. A doctor or a policeman or a model....it's hard to explain but it was awesome. Basically they could do what they "wanna do".. get it? I wish I would have known about when I was seven...it was fun.
Now I'm getting ready for my SHOW ON SUNDAY IN ORLANDO AT BACKBOOTH! I know this is bad but..I'm not sure of the exact time it starts. I would guess seven...I'll find out for sure though and let you know. PLEASE come! EVERYBODY! It's going to be so fun.

I went to the lake last weekend with my family and some friends. It was so fun! We had THREE tubes behind the boat at one time haha....at one point one of the tubes was literally ON TOP of my sister and me! hahaha...it was hilarious. I absolutely love tubing!! I'm still working on my wakeboarding skills....I just never feel sturdy on those things. ANYWAY, we had a lot of fun.
SO I have some exciting news for all you Floridians... well not JUST the Floridians..I'm performing in Orlando on July 13 at Backbooth!!!!! YAY!! It's with my friends Mark and James...it's going to be so much fun! I need you all to be there!!! HELLO EVERYBODY!!! I hope you all are having a great week so far. Mine's been pretty uneventful due to getting my driving privileges taken away... I got stopped for speeding! AHH. I've been pretty lazy so I decided that I should exercise. I don't exercise as much as I should, but when I do, I'd rather take some kind of class(kickboxing, yoga, spinning, etc.) BUT, I've always wanted to be one of those people who like to run and can just go for miles and ENJOY it. So, I decided to go for a run. I always tell myself after every run I go on that I'm just not the kind of person who LIKES to run; however, it doesn't take long for that desire to be a runner kicks back in. I put on my running shoes and exercise clothes , and felt very "in shape"..........I was beat after half a mile! My legs hurt, my stomach was cramping, my brain was shaking in my skull... It was horrible. That runners high that people talk about...I've never gotten it. My total run was about a mile and a half. Not that far but pretty far for me. All you runners out there are probably laughing at me...oh well. MAYBE one day I'll be able to become like you.

I'm afraid I have some sad news. The shows in Orlando I was really excited about this weekend have been cancelled. Believe me, if you're upset I'm ten times more! GOSH. Please don't give up though...because I AM going to get some shows soon! Or I'm gonna go crazy! Haha...but seriously. SO..don't go to the virgin megastore or social this weekend to see me because I won't be there unfortunately.
Another thing I want to talk about is my crazy myspace! I don't know what's going on with it lately. The player has disappeared..some people can't view my pictures....I don't know WHAT the problem is! I'm so sorry about it all....we're working to get it fixed.

Hello my friends!!! AHH. I'm so terrible about blogging. I understand if you guys never want to visit my page again because of the lack of updates. I'M SO SORRY! There's really no excuse...just been busy finishing school and went down to FL with my family about a week ago ...I just haven't been writing you guys enough and I APOLOGIZE! .
SO-- first and foremost-- I graduated on Sunday!!!! YAAAAYAYYA!! Can't believe it finally happened! Haha. You all know how anxious I was to graduate so I'm thrilled I finally did. It was awesome. I mean..I'll admit... I'm a sentimental person so the realization that I'm probably never going to see a lot of the kids again made me a little sad. I've seen them everyday for so long it's kind of strange( I go to a really small school-- 37 in our graduating class) that I won't know what's going on in their lives. BUT-- it was still a big, exciting moment in my life. My parents gave me a really pretty ring as a graduation present so that was awesome! I just can't believe I don't have a paper to go write. YES. So to my fellow graduates--CONGRATS! We made it----- Thanks for all my congratulations comments by the way!
My trip to LA went really well!! It couldn't have gone better. I hope to have some big news very soon!! ALSO- I just got home from NYC today. I went up there yesterday for an audition....it also went well! We'll see. OH--so when I was up there I got to see my big bro. He's good friends with Rob Schneider's daughter so we ended up getting to go to the premiere of his new movie "Don't mess with ZOHAN" last night! It was so much fun! I'd never been to a movie premiere before so it was awesome. I got to meet Rob Schneider and Adam Sandler...it was so cool. The movie was funny too! Haha....they're both hilarious.
Well..I'm heading to Indiana tomorrow for my show!! I'm so excited! Are any of you guys going to be able to make it?? I hope so! I have to get up at 4 AM...so that's no fun at all. BUT--the show will be fun. I really hope I see some of you there!

Hey everybody!! OK sorry I haven't written sooner---I just feel like I've been doing a million things. Prom was last weekend and it was so fun! I PROMISE to post some of the pictures....for some reason it hasn't been working but...I'm going to try to get some up very shortly. The theme to our prom was Phantom of the Opera so it was decorated very nicely...we tend to go all out on our prom decorations SO--it was fun! THEN, on Saturday I flew up to Maryland for my show at the Hockey Fights Cancer event in Abingdon. It went well! I actually got to hit a few hockey pucks! Which was a first. Hockey seems like fun , but it was freezing in there! I mean obviously....but I just hate being cold. ANYWAY, when I got home I just headed back to school. I had a big paper due on Friday so..that's what I was doing all last week. Now that the paper is done I'm SO HAPPY!! Our last day is on the 23...it's so soon!! YES. But right now, I'm just sitting here eating Ramen noodles and thought I would say hello! I hope you guys are doing great. I'm SO EXCITED though because I'm headed out to LA next week for some meetings....hopefully I'll have some big news soon!! : ) I love you guys!!! Thanks for EVERYTHING!!!!

Katelyn's song Wonderful Crazy is now being used in the national television and radio advertising campaign for Breast Cancer 3 Day. Katelyn has just added 3 new shows to her performance schedule. On December 8th she will be performing at the University of Central Florida Men's Basketball Game, in Orlando, FL. Then it's on to a December 31st Noon Year's Eve Party at the Jacksonville Zoo in Jacksonville, FL. 2008 starts strong for Katelyn with a January 17th concert performance at the Brigantine Elementary School in Brigantine, NJ. Katelyn has added five shows to her up coming concert schedule. Katelyn will be in Canton, Michigan on June 16th at the Canton Liberty Festival, then on June 23rd Katelyn will be at Cypress Gardens in Winter Haven, Florida with Hollywood Records recording artist The Jonas Brothers.
On July 21st Katelyn will be at the Lumberjack Days in Stillwater, Minnesota also with The Jonas Brothers, then The Orleans County Fair in Barton, Vermont on the 15th of August. Katelyn starts her fall concerts off with a performance at Octoberfest in Gulfport, Florida. Check back from more updates.

I guess I should start off by saying Happy Valentines Day! I am currently at home sick :( ..hope ya'll are feeling better than I am! Well, it's been a while since I last updated you guys..so where do I start? I had a blast at the Jingle Jam shows! I know they were like almost 2 months ago but..oh well! It was so much fun getting to know the Truth Squad, Nuttin But Stringz, and the Jonas Brothers. They are all SO talented and very fun to hang out with. School is so much fun as usual this year-HAH! It's a little more difficult considering my mom isn't my teacher anymore... :) but I'll survive.. So yeah, my competitive spirit is really kicking in. I want to show radio disney that I have the best fans and they will request my song! Katelyn's starts off 2007 with television, interviews and concerts. On February 15th Katelyn will be in Lawrenceville, GA to film a segment for the Deeper Shopping Television Network, check back for air dates and times. On February 24th Katelyn travels to Titusville, FL for a Radio Disney Concert. Katelyn then appears at the Spring Wildlife Festival in Claxton, GA on the 10th of March followed by the Magical Night of Entertainment / Chasco Fiesta Festival in New Port Richey, FL.
